iFob is a self-monitoring service. Notifications depend on your chosen plan, panel connection and setup; Cheap Alarm Parts does not personally monitor alarm events. Each panel needs its own plan. Access is for the prepaid term shown on the product page and does not renew automatically. Check your panel and module compatibility before purchase.

iFob Frequently Asked Questions

A few answers to help you choose the right connection and plan.

How long does an iFob plan last?

Each plan lasts 12 months and is paid for in one go. The plan does not automatically renew or charge your card again.

Do you monitor my alarm?

No. iFob is a self-monitoring app for a compatible Bosch Solution 6000 alarm. The notifications go to the people and devices configured for your system; Cheap Alarm Parts does not personally monitor alarm events.

What is polling?

Polling checks whether your alarm panel is still communicating with MyAlarm. If it stops checking in, a polled plan can send an offline notification. The polled plans above include a 20-minute offline notification.

What happens when my prepaid term ends?

Access is for 12 months. To continue using iFob after that term, purchase a renewal. If you want to move to a different plan, contact us so we can help you choose the right option.

How are notifications counted?

All nine plans shown above include unlimited notifications. An alert sent to two devices is delivered to each device separately. The notification methods available depend on the plan you select.

What is a locked 4G card?

A MyAlarm-locked MY-series 4G card uses MyAlarm-supplied SIM cards and is designed for iFob. You cannot substitute your own SIM cards in that module. Check which card you have before selecting a 4G SIM plan.

What is cellular network redundancy?

On the 4G + Dual SIM plan, the module can switch between two mobile networks if one loses service. Both networks need coverage at your location for this to help. The other 4G SIM plans do not include this switching feature.
