Bosch has released firmware version 2.2.0 for the Solution 2000 and Solution 3000 alarm panels, adding several useful improvements to the codepad and RSC+ app.

The biggest changes are new controls for codepad volume and backlight settings. Each connected codepad can now have its volume adjusted from minimum to maximum, while the new dim mode allows the display and keys to remain softly illuminated when the codepad is idle.

The updated firmware also improves compatibility with the latest version of the Remote Security Control Plus app. Updated app functions include system information viewing, date and time adjustment, and remote panic alarm activation.

When upgrading from an earlier firmware version, Bosch recommends using the migration feature in A-Link Plus. Right-click the existing customer profile and select Migrate Configuration to Latest FW before completing the upgrade. This is important because some programming items and locations have changed.

As always, make sure both A-Link Plus and the RSC+ app are updated to the latest available versions before starting.
