Resistor Pack - 3.3K x 10
Quick Overview:
- 10x End of line resistors, 3.3K value.
The Blurb:
Resistors are used universally in almost all alarm systems to protect the "zone loop". What does this mean? Well, the resistor is what the alarm is actually looking for on each zone cable at the end of the day. Each zone has its resistance measured continuously by the alarm. If your sensor is sitting happily at the end of the line and isn't seeing movement, the resistance of the zone loop is 3.3K. If you cut the cable going to the sensor, the resistance of the zone loop is infinite and the alarm goes off. If you short the cable going to the sensor, the resistance of the zone loop is zero and the alarm goes off!
All our kits come with all the resistors you will need for that kit. If you've lost yours or are expanding, buy more! Price includes shipping.
Check what value resistors your alarm system needs, as manufacturers use different values. Bosch use 3.3K and 6.8K values.
