Setting up iFob Reporting
When you purchase a iFob plan or a Trial plan you will be emailed instructions on how to set up your iFob within your alarm panel. These instructions cover how to set up your MyAlarm account.
1. Create a MyAlarm Customer account on www.myalarm.com.au
2. Once logged into your account, create a new site by pressing the "Add Site" button
3. Give your site a meaningful name and enter the panel serial number. Then press "Save".
4. You should now see your new site. If it says "Pending" this means that we have not yet activated your account, or you have not put your Customer Registration into MENU 508 on your alarm panel. If you get stuck at this point, call us on 1300-40-1800.
5. Click on the active site and you will see the Site Information screen. Notice the "Mobile Users" and "Reporting" Tabs. These allow you to add and change which users have access to the alarm on their phone and how and if the alarm reports back to their iFob app installed on their smartphone.
6. Click on the "Mobile Users" tab. To add a user, start typing their name in the "ID 1" box.
7. As soon as you start typing their name, the system will create an App Code for that device. Each device has their own unique App Code. If you change or add a device, you will need to re-create the App Code for that device. Now click the "Get App Code" button.
8. You should now see the App Code popup screen. You can scan the QR code with the iFob app, message it to a smartphone, or just note the new App Code.
9. Close the pop-up, and then select the "Reporting" Tab.
10. This section sets up how the alarm will report. This could be via the iFob app (push), SMS, Voice or email - depending on which plan you have chosen. Click on the "Add" button.
11. In the Message Type select how you would like the alarm to report to you.
12. In "Mobile Device" select which device to send the message to.
13. Now you can select the events to report to the device. If your plan has limited notifications, we recommend unticking "Arm and Disarm", "Test Reports" and "Access Events".
14. Make sure you save the webpage!
